The William Inglis Hotel is proud to welcome our newest team members – Amanda Fuller, Executive Head Chef, and Jack Basoff, Senior Sous Chef.

 

Amanda Fuller – Executive Head Chef

 

Having led culinary and operational excellence across Sydney, Melbourne, Uluru, Tasmania, and London. Renowned for her innovation and guest-centric approach, Amanda has held key roles with the Sam Hospitality Group and at London’s Peyton and Byrne, managing from fine dining to large-scale events.

 

She is a passionate advocate for industry talent, serving as a Board Member and Mentor for Women in Hospitality (WoHo) and judging major culinary competitions including Chef of the Year and Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat.

 

Amanda’s collaborative leadership, strategic insight, and commitment to elevating guest experiences continue to raise the bar in luxury hospitality.

 

How do you define your style of cooking? 

“Seasonal and simplistic. I believe in using high quality ingredients and showcasing seasonality…I do love adding elements of surprise by way of texture into dishes that are unexpected” – A. Fuller

 

What is an ingredient you can’t live without? 

“Sea Salt and a great Extra Virgin Olive Oil” – A. Fuller

 

Jack Basoff – Senior Sous Chef

 

His culinary journey began at 17 in a five-star hotel and now brings over a decade of experience to the industry. He’s earned accolades including a Chef’s Hat with Cottage Point Inn and a finalist spot for Chef of the Year 2024.

 

With leadership roles at venues like Banksii, INDU, and Bar Elvina, and large-scale banquet experience at The Fullerton Hotel, Jack is known for his innovation, precision, and leadership. Passionate about team development and exceptional guest experiences, he continues to push the boundaries of culinary excellence.

 

How do you define your style of cooking? 

“I really like to pull the best part of every cuisine. Taking flavours from all around the world and kind of showcase different elements” – J.Basoff
